After retiring from a 30-year career in healthcare, John McDonald sought to continue his mission of caring for others. Inspired by his volunteer work at "The Happening," a social club for the Disability Community in Southern California, he founded Comfort Critters™. This unique brand offers weighted stuffed animals that help ease anxiety, stress, and symptoms of ASD and PTSD. John's compassion extends beyond Comfort Critters™; he’s also actively involved in adult literacy programs and food drives in downtown Los Angeles. With each "loving hugger" from Comfort Critters™, John hopes to bring comfort and a sense of calm to those who need it most.
